Association of Host Interferon-γ Gene Polymorphism with Toxoplasma gondii Infection in Pregnant Women of Bangladesh

چکیده
Human toxoplasmosis is caused by the intracellular protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii. Although T. gondii infection generally asymptomatic for most of immunocompetent adults, severe complications may occur particularly in pregnant women and immunocompromised individual. Host cell immunity plays a critical role differentiation persistence host. Therefore, genetic polymorphism host immune genes, instance interferon-γ gene could be linked with possibility infection. The objective study was to verify link between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) IFN-γ through correlating anthropometric sociodemographic parameters. In this study, ninety-two (N = 92) (16 - 40 years) healthy controls 95) similar age ranges were included. Among them, 25% (n 23) seropositive IgG antibodies Rapid Test Assay. Allelic genotypic frequencies +874T/A (rs2430561) SNPs evaluated using ARMS-PCR. distribution A T alleles specific position gondii-infected control groups did not differ significantly, according data. However, we found higher frequency (13.04%) A/A genotype infected as compared non-infected individuals (8.70%), demonstrating that susceptibility increased homozygosity allele. Further studies are needed find out Bangladesh.

15 صفحه اولAssociation of IL-19 Gene Polymorphism (rs2243191T / C) with occurrence of preeclampsia in pregnant women
Introduction: Preeclampsia, the most common, yet unknown, pregnancy-related disease, is the leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide. Increased systemic inflammatory factors as a result of decreased serum levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines during pregnancy have made inflammation a key role in preeclampsia. In the present study, the relationship between the interleukin 19 polymorphism as...
متن کاملAssociation Of rs16260 Polymorphism Of CDH1 Gene With Recurrent Pregnancy Loss In Iranian-Azeri Women
Background & aim: Recurrent pregnancy loss is defined as loosing at least 2 pregnancies before 20th weeks of gestation. Besides all the known causative factors, in about half of the cases, the causing factor, remains unknown. In recent years, some studies have shown the role of candidate genes polymorphisms in RPL. CDH1 is one of these candidate genes that plays critical role in embryo implanta...

Abstract Background and objectives: Interferon-Gamma and interferon Gamma receptor (IFNγ ⁄ IFNγR1) are the main genes associated with susceptibility to tuberculosis. We aimed at studying on interferon-Gamma Gene polymorphism(- 56 C/T) in people suffered from tuberculosis (TB). Material and Methods: In this case-control study, the subjects were 62 individuals with TB and 74 hea...
متن کاملPolymorphism in the First Intron of Interferon-Gamma Gene (+874T→A) in Iranian Patients with Brucellosis
Background: Brucella is a gram-negative bacterium, causing acute and chronic infection in humans and animals. Cell-mediated immunity is the main protective immune response against Brucella spp. Activation of macrophages by IFN-γ and generation of reactive oxygen intermediates and nitric oxide are the main immunologic mechanisms responsible for control of Brucella infection. Objective: To invest...
